Visits this term
Maple class have enjoyed visits linked to their pollution topic. The class went on a pollution search, looking for pollution in their local area. This included doing a survey of litter in Highfields park and in Spider park.
We also managed to get to the Djanogly Art Gallery to see the paintings and pictures by Lowry, we saw loads of pollution in the dirty street scenes, and we saw the Roman artefacts (which are only here now because they were left as rubbish 1000 years ago!) in the new archaeology museum. We had a super day.

Dance showcase
Maple class had the opportunity to showcase their dance piece at the Nottingham Arts Theatre. We were so lucky to be able to rehearse on the stage in the theatre during the day, as it is a professional theatre in the city centre. Then in the evening 18 children and their families came back to perform in the fantastic showcase. There were performances from lots of different primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and even the Retina Youth Company. It was a super event and the children all performed brillantly. Well done Maple children.
