Eco Silver Award
Dunkirk Primary has been awarded an Eco Schools Silver award. The Silver award focuses on strengthening pupil leadership and whole school involvement while the school starts to work on one of the Eco-Schools topics in depth.
Working towards this award included setting up an Eco-Committee (ECO Club) consisting of pupils and adults, which share the responsibility of running the committee. The committee completed an environmental review, and set in motion an action plan through which the school and the pupils planned ways in which the environmental footprint of the school could be reduced, while raising an awareness amongst pupils of environmental issues.
